Trotteurs, by D. Haskell Chhuy, is a copper plate engraving of multiple horses and their drivers on sulkies, right in the middle of the harness race. One can feel the power of the horses rushing forward in the trotting gait. See the two drivers behind the lead horse, trying to determine when to challenge for lead of the race!

Engraved on copper plates, while Chhuy was studying in Paris. Chhuy has used her burin and other tools to great advantage, making cuts in the copper plate in just the right places.

D. Haskell Chhuy is a well known artist, a long time resident of Virginia. She paints beautiful oils and watercolors, and makes intricate copper plate engravings, primarily of horses and riders in the landscape, on the track, and in the field.
